Before it gets too cold, you and your family can enjoy a cool night at Kilbourn Park sitting around the fire, eating s'mores, story telling and gazing at the stars. Adler Planetarium will bring out their scopes and lead a star-gazing activity. This is an all ages event and free to the public.
In these fun-filled Saturdays, children learn about nature and how they relate to the natural environment. Children will participate in games, activities and experiments while exploring the park's wildlife and habitats. Participants will discover natural habitats and gardens, practice orienteering, learn knot tying and hopefully approach the natural world with more awareness. Kids will walk away from this class with many more skills to help them explore the outdoors and spark their interest in the natural world around them.
Saturdays, 12:30-2:00pm. Fee: $22.
Register online through Chicago Park District or sign up in-person at Kilbourn Park.
This activity is designed to spark the curiosity of toddlers and encourage exploration of the natural world. Through toddler friendly art, nature walks and gardening, participants will discover the outdoor world and garden through the seasons. This class will meet outside so long as weather is bearable.
